UPDATE: If you wanna know more about the 8-head ratio on shorter people just click on this link:

YES I USE ANDREW LOOMIS BOOKS AS REFERENCE.
You guys should download his stuff, they are FREE ---> [link] [link] [link] <----- CLICK AND DOWNLOAD YOU SMARTHEADS.

His style is a bit old fashioned, but there's a reason why his methods still work out.

Oh and sorry if I didn't cover details like shoulders flexibility and that the body is 7 - 7,5 head units tall and not 8. READ THE GODDAMN TEXT BEFORE YOU POINT IT OUT. Srsly. It's not like I don't know that.
It's pretty hard to fill the tutorial with everything when the size limit is 18000 px, it may sound big but for a tutorial like this, it is not that much space.

Srsly. If you don't read the text in the tutorial, you'll miss stuff.

Nope.
Can't do it.
I find it easier to just picture it without heads and grids or whatever.
Great guide for those who have more advanced art skills c:

I honestly have a serious problem and its destroying me.

I just cannot draw my own poses without freaking out and resorting to default T pose and even then the anatomy is god awful.

I cant even grasp the simplest of anatomy and its honestly killing my will to live and my will to become an artist I just need to simplify anatomy but at the same time KNOW what to do when faced with something outside of my comfort zone. Whenever I try to draw out my comfort zone my mind goes completely blank and i'm stuck. I like to fool myself into thinking my bodies are abstract and different but no, its just BAD anatomy that i'm sugar coating for my own self worth. I don't want to quit art as its the only thing i've ever really enjoyed. But I feel like I cant do shit in that field if I cant grasp something like anatomy.

Heya!

You could even try taking photographs of yourself in poses you would like to learn, and you use them as reference with a grid :)

I'm busy doing face studies because I can't draw faces for shizzle, and this is how Im practicing to get better.

Remember, it doesnt hurt to use references. Infact use them whenever you can, it isn't cheating and you are guaranteed to learn something!
Have a nice day :D

At least take 1 hour everyday don't miss a day even 30 minutes  is good enough. Do something to learn maybe do it over and over and over till you get it your not going to do it perfectly your first try. One thing for sure preserver through Ill be here learning too.

No, asymmetry isn't always when the drawing on one side is wrong. It can also denote a more dynamic pose, with the limbs on one side in different positions than the other side.

At this stage in the tutorial tho you need to start with drawing symmetric bodies :3

They were talking about the body. Not the pose or drawing. (But making the body asymmetric is fine if that's your character. Like missing limbs or robo limbs stuff like that)

hi! I really like this tutorial and everything it says its a life saver! Thanks a bunch! But i have a problem with the 8 head scale tho and its a real pain in the bum, like do you use a diagonal line to help make the horizontal one like you would in the perspective scale? Ugh sorry if i sound stupid but its hard to learn stuff on my own sometimes. Thanks for ur time.
