UPDATE: If you wanna know more about the 8-head ratio on shorter people just click on this link:

YES I USE ANDREW LOOMIS BOOKS AS REFERENCE.
You guys should download his stuff, they are FREE ---> [link] [link] [link] <----- CLICK AND DOWNLOAD YOU SMARTHEADS.

His style is a bit old fashioned, but there's a reason why his methods still work out.

Oh and sorry if I didn't cover details like shoulders flexibility and that the body is 7 - 7,5 head units tall and not 8. READ THE GODDAMN TEXT BEFORE YOU POINT IT OUT. Srsly. It's not like I don't know that.
It's pretty hard to fill the tutorial with everything when the size limit is 18000 px, it may sound big but for a tutorial like this, it is not that much space.

Srsly. If you don't read the text in the tutorial, you'll miss stuff.

The vitruvian man by Leo da Vinci is also sort of a guide for perfect proportions

Anyways i love your tutorials and I am using them to help me draw figures better

Thank you for making this, perspective and humans in general are two areas that I struggle with in my art.

With that first point perspective bit, can you advise how you decided what angle to draw the red lines at.  Please? :)

i don't know if this helps, but all of the red diagonal lines are parallel to each other.

Hi, I was checking the other link you gave, and the Manga to Realistic Part 8 is dead/broken/down/whatever

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?????

This is a great tutorial. It's easy to understand (although I found a typo or two). I'm already familiar with the eight heads method, but the things that I gained insight on were the sitting figure and the range of movement.

I haven't read your other tutorials yet, but I will. The manga to realism ones look especially interesting.

One question though: Why does one need the diagonal lines in the perspective drawings? I wasn't very clear on that.

I know this has a million comments already, but I wanted to add one more to thank you for this tutorial.
