I have read all of the 7 parts about understanding anatomy and I got a question, can this be applicable to manga-style drawing? Because I am more in the manga-style than the realistic but I'd like to polish my anatomy.

while I might not be the artist here I can tell you, from manga to realistic both renders of the human are a perception of reality, you have to know the rules to break them, you have to know human anatomy ^ like this, to be able to stylize it into manga :)

short answer: yes

This is really good in terms of how fat works, thank you! It's the first I've seen a tutorial that actually handled this well, usually, people seem to expand the moderately-curvy girl figure and assume that's just how it works rather than working in folds and things.

Love this! I know it was an average/majority thing, but don't rule out any possibilities about if someone could REALLY have a big butt or if someone could REALLY have *insert body trait*. In my family, women usually have large butts no matter what. I'm pretty slim and don't really work out a lot, but I still got the "big round butt" gene. I have noticed that a big butt usually comes with a nice set of thighs though. Just a thought :) Also, anyone wanting to draw breasts should maybe learn a bit about sizing and such. It might help when drawing (clothed) women if you know how a properly fitted bra is supposed to support the breasts and what that looks like.  www.brabandproject.com/

I'm not sure if I've commented here before, but I noticed one very well stated little detail. Yes, there are men with broad hips. I've been one of them since I was just barely a slender teenager - 5'7", 112 pounds, 40" hips. Buying pants was a pain in the ass(sometimes literally).

But the real point is that human bodies vary a lot(!). Even so, the anatomical basics don't change much, and THAT is well illustrated here. Nice job.

FINALLY there's a tutorial on different amounts of bodyfat! There are so few, and even the one or two I've found have been very brief. This is brilliant, thankyou!

For anbody else who'd like more ideas: Another thing I've noticed on people is that people who do a lot of walking will have very lean, well-toned lower legs and muscular thighs (which will have more fat on top), regardless of bodyweight. I know this because my high school was on top of a very steep hill and after about a term or so you could see the younger students were starting to develop better muscles in their legs and the oldest students' bottom halves were generally very well toned and used to walking a lot, even if the rest of them was very skinny or fat.

You could have a character who is very fat but has strong arms if maybe he has a job where xhe needs to lift heavy things, like being a builder or something. A good example of this would be the Heavy from TF2 - He's obviously overweight but has incredibly strong muscles underneath.

Trying to reteach myself to draw in between school and work and life (in the like 20 minutes I have at any given time? lol) and I absolutely love your tutorials.

I do have to remark on the bag of jelly comment, because it reminded me of my little brother. When he was 10-12 and just discovering girls, we were out eating and he spotted a well-endowed woman wearing no bra and a white t-shirt. He stared, I laughed and asked him about it; he turned to me wide-eyed and said "They jiggle like jello!"

Anyways, as I said, I love your guides. I find them very helpful and I like how much detail and depth you went into. Thank you for creating these.

Thank you for making all of these tutorials. They're simply fantastic. The box method is especially helpful and one I'd not seen in use until I read these a little over a year ago. I'm just now re-viewing these and picking up things I'd not gathered the last time, as well as refreshing my memory on other things.

So, once again, thank you!
