Wait... didn`t manga artists required the thought of 3-D to draw their characters?

Ahahah, I was one of those kids who cut off the hair of a barbie doll but that definitely helped me place the image of hair roots in my head!

I think you mean "short hair without bangs"-haircut? Shorter hair is a bit more tricky when it comes to the toilet-paper technique. Take a look at photographs and observe how the hair is placed after the hairline.

Ok. I was trying to improve my people's faces and I saw you didn't have anything for short haired guys. This is like the 20th time I've tried to do this. Shading and eyes always screw me up. And guy's hair. Especially guys hair. Thank you. :iconbegplz:

I have a hard time for guys hair too ;) especially when they have middle-short hair with either bangs or a hairline, so you can't figure out which direction the hair go haha.

Hahaha. [link] This is a drawing I did without your tutorial and you can see the hair is like bangs but its like really hard to do that kind of hair. Why must guys be so hot with hair like that but it's so hard to draw!

well, it depends on the level of details you want in the hair. if you can transform a hairstyle from a photograph into a more manga/cartoonish version with much less details then you are on the right track. Hair IS hard since it can have all kinds of styles.

See I want to make it as real as I can with the tutorial I was doing this before I looked at the tutorial again. I just copied the picture as much as I could. It didn't work as well as I though. Hair is so hard to do... -_-

I can't stress enough myself over how much these tutorials are helping me.
I've read all of them, and I'm now practicing the most with this one - which is a true masterpiece. I've never seen such a well described tutorial, your way of explaining things is absolutely wonderful and easy to understand.

Just thanks for everything. I'm finally starting to get into semi realism, and if I'm starting to make progress it's just thanks to you.

Hope you don't mind I copy like crazy all your musculature studies and sketches before I start making my own... because I'm honest, I suck at realism or even making freaking muscles XD

Not the very best, that's for sure, but I'm not gonna give up, thanks to you as well <3
And keep up the awesome job!
