This one doesn't really have any story behind it, but I sort of liked the whole illustrational theme to it.

The dragon is partly inspired by bearded vulture and the shape of the head is based on a moose.

I should check my color settings in Corel, because it felt brighter when I worked on this. When I opened it in photoshop is was much darker than I thought.

Done in Corel Painter 12

I know there's no story behind it, but if you had told me this was based on a Swedish fairy tale, I'd believe it.

Sort of reminiscent of Little Red Riding Hood in themes.

Anyhow, I really like the balance between the warm and cool colors in this picture.

This is beautiful. I love the colors; they look so soft and warm. And that dragon looks amazing. I love how his fur actually looks furry.
The whole painting creates a very nice atmosphere and it looks like an illustration for maybe a fairy tale or a children's book. Really, really beautiful.
