correction of :iconmelonkuantum:'s picture
the artist asked about the eyes so I focused on the eyes only.

I got the news that this one already was corrected - but it was okay to upload it anyway, I mean two corrections are always better than one right?

Not so much text, just a simple redlining of how I would do the eyes.

Since your style is more realistic than manga/cartoon, a semi-realistic mangastyle would fit this picture. And therefore you should consider things such as eyelids and eyelashes. Manga is known for having thick lineart on the eyes as if they wore a lot of eyeliner.

I also made a grayscale example on how you can shade the eyes so they don't look flat compared to the rest of the picture which has a lot of depth and definition.

Otherwise, lovely use of colors! I think that if you practice some more on how to adapt mangastyle in your colorings, you'll come far and make beautoful art! I'm cheering for you!

Ooops, I'm sorry to not inform you that I had asked Shattered-Earth :(
indeed, I intend to make this piece semi-relaistic, but it seems that I just don't know the boundary between manga and semi-realistic manga very well.
I left the eye flat because I'm afraid that it would turn out too well defined / too realistic :D

Thx!

The proportions of a manga face is too abstract to look realistic even if you define the shape :) experimenting is good though!
